"My Prayer," composed in 1926 by Georges Boulanger with lyrics added by Jimmy Kennedy in 1939 and first recorded by Glenn Miller and The Ink Spots in 1939, is best known by this version recorded in 1956 by The Platters on Mercury Records reaching #1 on the Billboard Top 100 number-one singles chart. Wat heb je nu weer iets leuks voor ons bedacht! Hoewel de platen hier nog staan, is dit een soort van herkenning. En daar hoef ik bij mijn kinderen niet om te komen, hoor (hoewel ze regelmatig mee doen aan een pub-quiz en dan toch veel van mijn tijd blijken te weten).
